The Hyundai team volunteered with One Tree Planted at the Bolsa Chica Conservancy in Huntington Beach, CA, where they planted over 150 coastal sage scrub and coastal grassland plants.

Hyundai employees and their families attended a beach clean-up at Huntington State Beach, where they picked up waste and other debris from the coastline.

Hyundai employees, Healthy Seas, and Ghost Diving USA hosted a beach clean-up event at Huntington Beach State Park, collecting nearly 60 pounds of waste from the coastline.

Hyundai employees volunteered with One Tree Planted in Huntington Beach to plant and water over 60 coastal sage scrub shrubs and grasses and clear the restoration area of invasive species.

Hyundai employees volunteered with One Tree Planted to restore about 100 plants in Laguna Canyon, including four 15-gallon oak trees, native plants like milkweed which support the monarch butterfly population, and non-native plants such as roses.

Hyundai Supports Sustainability, Housing, and Hunger Relief Programs in Coastal Georgia

SAVANNAH, Ga., Aug. 15, 2024 – Hyundai recently contributed to organizations in the Coastal Georgia region to bolster sustainability, housing, and hunger relief efforts. Hyundai partnered with Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit focused on conserving, restoring, and managing wetlands and associated habitats for waterfowl. Hyundai also continued its partnerships with Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity on expanding affordable home ownership, as well as the Salvation Army of Savannah on hunger relief efforts. The donations are part of Hyundai’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, which seeks to improve the well-being of society by supporting programs that foster health, safety, and growth in communities.

Hyundai and One Tree Planted Advance Partnership to Plant an Additional 300,000 Trees Across North America

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., June 11, 2024 – Hyundai Motor North America built upon its partnership with nonprofit organization, One Tree Planted, to plant an additional 300,000 trees throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This year’s contribution will result in a total of 650,000 trees planted since the start of the partnership in 2022. One Tree Planted works to restore forests across the globe, upkeeping the earth’s habitat for biodiversity and creating a positive impact on society at large.

Hyundai Invests in Safety, Education, and Reforestation in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga., April 29, 2024 – Hyundai recently contributed to local Savannah nonprofit organizations to support safety, education, and reforestation in the community. Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah received a donation to support child passenger and driver education programs. Georgia Southern University received a donation to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation received a donation to help replant trees within the Coastal Bryan County region. Ceremonial checks were presented to the organizations in Savannah, Georgia, the week of April 22.

Hyundai Strengthens Sustainability Commitment with Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving USA Partnership

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 12, 2023– Hyundai Motor America today announced a partnership with Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving USA, two nonprofit organizations dedicated to ocean conservation efforts. Hyundai’s support will further Healthy Seas’ and Ghost Diving USA’s diving projects in southern California to clean the oceans and retrieve fishing nets contributing to marine pollution. Reclaimed fishing nets and other nylon waste collected become ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon yarn that is used to make new textile products. The partnership will also enable the organizations to host beach cleanup events across California throughout 2024, with the partnership kicking off on December 9 with a cleanup event at Huntington Beach State Park.

Hyundai Partners with One Tree Planted to Restore Forests Nationwide

SAN FRANCISCO, April 25, 2022 – Hyundai Motor America today announced a partnership with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization that focuses on global reforestation. Hyundai’s donation will assist in the planting of 150,000 trees across the country throughout 2022, with the partnership kicking off on April 23 during a tree planting event at the iconic Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

The initiative is the latest to underscore Hyundai Motor’s commitment to sustainability, mitigating environmental impacts caused by climate change and advancing its Progress for Humanity company vision. Hyundai is making significant investments in its journey toward electrification leadership, with plans to have 23 eco-friendly vehicles globally and one million electric vehicles by 2025, and a fully electrified vehicle lineup by 2040.
