MIAMI, March 7, 2024 – Hyundai Hope, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Hyundai Motor America, recently presented Nicklaus Children’s Hospital with a $15,000 donation to the Car Seat Safety Program. The donation will allow the hospital to expand its efforts in providing child passenger safety education and free onsite safety seat checks and installations to the communities it serves. A ceremonial check was presented to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Oct. 18, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) continue their collaboration this year as Hyundai donates an additional $50,000 to the hospital’s Car Seat Safety Program. The donation is part of Hyundai’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, which seeks to uplift children and families through various health and safety programs. Hyundai’s donation will allow the hospital to provide almost 700 car seats to families in need.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 10, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Children’s of Alabama hosted a child safety seat event at The Summit Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, affirming its commitment to safety, especially for young passengers. The event marks the continuation of the partnership between Hyundai and Children’s of Alabama. Last year, a similar event was held at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Hyundai’s manufacturing plant based in Montgomery. This year, the partnership is expanding to Birmingham. Hyundai’s donation will enable Children’s of Alabama to host additional driver and passenger safety education events as part of its Health Education and Safety Center program.

HOLYOKE, Mass., Aug. 2, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Baystate Health Foundation hosted a child safety seat check at Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke, Massachusetts in support of child passenger safety in the community. The event marked the beginning of the partnership between Hyundai and Baystate Health Foundation, which will include consumer educational events that include car seat safety inspections like this one. About 46 percent of car seats and booster seats are installed incorrectly or improperly used, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 18, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America hosted a child safety seat check and pedestrian safety event at its national headquarters in Fountain Valley, California with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). This event is part of Hyundai’s expanded partnership with CHLA, which will enable more families in Los Angeles and Orange Counties to participate in consumer education events through CHLA’s Injury Prevention Program. Through the partnership, the Injury Prevention Program provides guidance to attendees on best safety practices to mitigate two of the top leading causes of injury and death in children – motor vehicle crashes and pedestrian injuries.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., June 13, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago hosted a child safety seat check at this year’s Move for Kids walk and rally for patients, families, and neighbors at Busse Woods Forest Preserve in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The event is part of the partnership previously announced in February as Hyundai continues its support of the hospital’s Buckle Up Child Passenger Safety Program.

SAVANNAH, Ga., June 5, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America announced a new partnership with Savannah State University, and the continuation of its partnership with Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah. As Hyundai expands its presence in Georgia, the company seeks to invest back into the community by supporting organizations doing important work in the fields of education and safety. Ceremonial checks were presented to the two organizations in Georgia.

Hyundai’s donation will allow CHLA to host more car seat check events and another LA Street Smarts Event teaching pedestrian safety to elementary school-aged children. CHICAGO, Feb. 9, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America announced the continuation of its partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, donating $50,000 in support of its Buckle Up Child Passenger Safety Program. Hyundai’s donation will assist in creating consumer educational events that include car seat safety inspections and free booster seat distributions to more than 350 families living in underserved areas over the next year. The latest donation from Hyundai Hope will assist with consumer educational events, including an upcoming car seat safety check event on October 1 and a L.A. Street Smarts kids walk event on October 5, an interactive experience developed at CHLA for children to learn pedestrian safety. The announcement comes on the heels of National Child Passenger Safety Week September 18-24.

SAVANNAH, Ga., September 12, 2022 – Hyundai Motor America announced its partnership with Memorial Health’s Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah to support child passenger and driver education programs. The Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah is the lead agency for Safe Kids Savannah, a local coalition of organizations and concerned individuals with the common goal of preventing accidental childhood injuries and deaths. Hyundai’s donation will assist with consumer educational events, including upcoming car seat safety check events with Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah.
