Hyundai and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Host Child Passenger and Pedestrian Safety Event

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., August 13, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America hosted a child passenger and pedestrian safety event at its national headquarters in Fountain Valley, California with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). As part of its ongoing partnership, the two-part event featured a child safety seat check and a pedestrian safety training as part of CHLA’s Injury Prevention Program. The nationally recognized program provides education and resources to families to prevent unintentional child injuries and fatalities from motor vehicle crashes and walking or playing near streets.

Hyundai Invests in Safety, Education, and Reforestation in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga., April 29, 2024 – Hyundai recently contributed to local Savannah nonprofit organizations to support safety, education, and reforestation in the community. Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah received a donation to support child passenger and driver education programs. Georgia Southern University received a donation to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation received a donation to help replant trees within the Coastal Bryan County region. Ceremonial checks were presented to the organizations in Savannah, Georgia, the week of April 22.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 10, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Children’s of Alabama hosted a child safety seat event at The Summit Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, affirming its commitment to safety, especially for young passengers. The event marks the continuation of the partnership between Hyundai and Children’s of Alabama. Last year, a similar event was held at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Hyundai’s manufacturing plant based in Montgomery. This year, the partnership is expanding to Birmingham. HOLYOKE, Mass., Aug. 2, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Baystate Health Foundation hosted a child safety seat check at Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke, Massachusetts in support of child passenger safety in the community. The event marked the beginning of the partnership between Hyundai and Baystate Health Foundation, which will include consumer educational events that include car seat safety inspections like this one. About 46 percent of car seats and booster seats are installed incorrectly or improperly used, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
