FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., August 13, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America hosted a child passenger and pedestrian safety event at its national headquarters in Fountain Valley, California with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). As part of its ongoing partnership, the two-part event featured a child safety seat check and a pedestrian safety training as part of CHLA’s Injury Prevention Program. The nationally recognized program provides education and resources to families to prevent unintentional child injuries and fatalities from motor vehicle crashes and walking or playing near streets.

HOLYOKE, Mass., July 30, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America and Baystate Health Foundation teamed up to host their second child safety seat event at Gary Rome Hyundai. This collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to improve child passenger safety in the community, with Hyundai donating an additional $20,000 in support of Baystate Health’s Car Seat Safety Program.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 17, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America announced its donation of $100,000 to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) towards its Injury Prevention and Child Passenger Safety Program. Through Hyundai’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, this partnership continues to impact local communities throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. By increasing the number of child passenger and pedestrian safety events for families, Hyundai seeks to protect the well-being of children while on and near the road.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., June 13, 2024 – Hyundai Motor America and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago hosted its third child safety seat check at this year’s Move for Kids walk and rally for patients, families, and neighbors at Busse Woods Forest Preserve in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The event is part of their continued collaboration as Hyundai donates an additional $50,000 in support of the hospital’s Buckle Up Child Passenger Safety Program.

SAVANNAH, Ga., April 29, 2024 – Hyundai recently contributed to local Savannah nonprofit organizations to support safety, education, and reforestation in the community. Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Safe Kids Savannah received a donation to support child passenger and driver education programs. Georgia Southern University received a donation to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation received a donation to help replant trees within the Coastal Bryan County region. Ceremonial checks were presented to the organizations in Savannah, Georgia, the week of April 22.

DETROIT, April 23, 2024 – Hyundai Hope, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Hyundai Motor America, announced its partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Michigan through the Children’s Foundation in support of the hospital’s Injury Prevention Program, specifically child passenger safety initiatives. This donation will allow the hospital to purchase car seats for its car seat safety program, which helps ensure the safety and well-being of children while on the road.

MIAMI, March 7, 2024 – Hyundai Hope, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Hyundai Motor America, recently presented Nicklaus Children’s Hospital with a $15,000 donation to the Car Seat Safety Program. The donation will allow the hospital to expand its efforts in providing child passenger safety education and free onsite safety seat checks and installations to the communities it serves. A ceremonial check was presented to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Oct. 18, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) continue their collaboration this year as Hyundai donates an additional $50,000 to the hospital’s Car Seat Safety Program. The donation is part of Hyundai’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Hyundai Hope, which seeks to uplift children and families through various health and safety programs. Hyundai’s donation will allow the hospital to provide almost 700 car seats to families in need.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 10, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Children’s of Alabama hosted a child safety seat event at The Summit Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, affirming its commitment to safety, especially for young passengers. The event marks the continuation of the partnership between Hyundai and Children’s of Alabama. Last year, a similar event was held at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Hyundai’s manufacturing plant based in Montgomery. This year, the partnership is expanding to Birmingham. Hyundai’s donation will enable Children’s of Alabama to host additional driver and passenger safety education events as part of its Health Education and Safety Center program.

HOLYOKE, Mass., Aug. 2, 2023 – Hyundai Motor America and Baystate Health Foundation hosted a child safety seat check at Gary Rome Hyundai in Holyoke, Massachusetts in support of child passenger safety in the community. The event marked the beginning of the partnership between Hyundai and Baystate Health Foundation, which will include consumer educational events that include car seat safety inspections like this one. About 46 percent of car seats and booster seats are installed incorrectly or improperly used, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

This event is part of Hyundai’s expanded partnership with CHLA, which will enable more families in Los Angeles and Orange Counties to participate in consumer education events through CHLA’s Injury Prevention Program. Through the partnership, the Injury Prevention Program provides guidance to attendees on best safety practices to mitigate two of the top leading causes of injury and death in children – motor vehicle crashes and pedestrian injuries.
